Missing woman found dead in Monroe County
67-year-old Shirley Obert went missing on the morning of March 29.
MONROE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A missing woman has been found dead in Monroe County, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
67-year-old Shirley Obert went missing on the morning of March 29. Obert was involved in a car accident in the area of Oxford Road and Abercrombie Road.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office found Obert dead at the bottom of a deep well that was surrounded by very thick brush, near where her car was found on March 30. Obert appeared to have been trying to go for help when this incident occurred.
