Bibb County L.E.C. Inmate Dies In His Holding Cell

The Bibb County Sheriff’s office is investigating the death of one of its inmates.

33 year old Kenyon Marquis Hopkins was in his cell, when another inmate notified deputies that it sounded like Hopkins was having trouble breathing.

By the time medics and deputies got to Hopkins, he had already stopped breathing.

The Coroner’s Office pronounced Hopkins dead around 3:15.

According to officials, Hopkins did not have any known prior medical condidtion.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
