Grand Jury Indicts Stephen McDaniel in Murder of Lauren Giddings
The case building against Stephen McDaniel in the murder of his neighbor, Lauren Giddings, is getting stronger.
Today, a Grand Jury formally charged the McDaniel on 1 count of murder and 30 counts of sexual exploitation of children. This decision means there is enough evidence for the district attorney’s office to head to trial.
McDaniel has been in jail since July 1, on unrelated burglary charges. Murder charges were added in early August after a search revealed hacksaw packing, which was believed to have come from the murder weapon, in McDaniel’s apartment.
