‘Wild With Kyle’ Takes to the Trees at Callaway Gardens for the Tree Top Adventure

If you’re afraid of heights, you either don’t want come here, or, if you want to conquer your fear, Callaway Gardens is the place to go.

But be prepared, you have to sign your life away on the dotted line before you head to the trees.

“There’s a little adrenaline factor, but you’re not so far out that you feel unsafe,” Rachel Crumbley of Callaway Gardens explains.

But you have to work for that rush of zipline. You cannot attempt the zipline until after you have completed the safety course.

We’re taught how to hook up, clip in, and then test your courage.

Then, it’s up to the trees to see if you’ve got what it takes.

I’m strapped in and hooked up to safety lines, but when you’re 20 to 30 feet in the air, walking from swinging log to swinging log, the fear of falling is definitely on my mind.

The zipline is about 50 feet long, and 30 feet high. And it brings a good rush of adrenaline.

“Everybody has a great time doing it. And when you finish it, you have a sense of accomplishment,” Crumbley says.

Another great thing about Callaway Gardens, if you have a military I.D., you have five guests get into the Gardens, absolutely free.
