New mobile mammography coach visiting communities in Middle Georgia, looking ahead to event this weekend

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Atrium Health Navicent unveiled a new mobile mammography coach that aims to serve women in Middle Georgia.

“This new technology is new to the Middle Georgia area,” says Hill. “It’s the first of its kind in our market and it’s basically a mammogram on wheels.”

Hill says the mobile mammography coach will go around Middle Georgia and surrounding counties. The mobile mammography coach goes to corporate or community events, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods.

Hill says the new mobile mammography bus will be at Glorious Hope Baptist Church on March 8. The coach can accommodate up to 40 women per day.
