Cases of lice confirmed at Bibb County Jail, treatment underway

The Sheriff's Office says that everyone is being treated accordingly and they are treating all inmates in the LEC as a precautionary measure.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Inmates at the Bibb County Jail are being treated for lice, and one inmate has been confirmed to have scabies, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a news release, medical professionals are fully aware of the lice at the Bibb County Jail and have a comprehensive schedule for the treatment.

Some of the scheduled treatments have already been completed. Movement throughout the jail has been limited while treatment is ongoing. In addition, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that an inmate has scabies.
