FPD Wins in Walk Off Fashion over Veterans

The FPD Vikings defeated the Veterans Warhawks 5-2 after a three-run walk off home run from Tinsley Lewis in the Bottom 9th

MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – On Monday night at First Presbyterian Day, the FPD Vikings (3-0) defeated the Veterans Warhawks (3-3) with a three-run walk off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning from Junior Vikings’ catcher Tinsley Lewis to grab the 5-2 victory.

Both teams displayed excellent pitching. Veterans combined for over 10 strikeouts and one run from Brooks Masters, Brandon Fuller, and Brandon Mercer. FPD’s Junior Pitcher Connor Strandmark had himself a day with 22 whiffs, 10K’s, and one unearned run in seven innings pitched.

FPD will head to George Walton Tuesday afternoon. Veterans will head to Perry Wednesday.
