DePaul USA Daybreak holding 12th Greater Macon Sleepout

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – More than 60 people are expected to spend a night outdoors for the annual Greater Macon Sleepout, an event raising awareness and support for the homeless.
Sister Deborah Mallott, director of Daybreak and the Sheridan Center, says participants will set up camp outside the Sheridan Center to show solidarity with the homeless. Mallott said this is one of Daybreak’s major fundraising events.
The event helps the nonprofit cover basic needs such as food, hygiene and medical care for those in need.
The sleepout is happening February 27. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. The program starts at 7:30 p.m.
