Mercer Students Destroy Tattnall Square Bear

Mercer University officials are apologizing tonight after two students allegedly destroyed a decorative fiberglass bear in Macon’s Tattnall Square Park.

The themed bear was 1 of 6 recently placed throughout the College Hill Neighborhood by the Macon Arts Alliance. According to an incident report, two Mercer students were caught kicking the statue down the street early Saturday morning. Apparently the pair had been drinking.
