Nine More Bibb Schools Make AYP, Including One High School

Nine more Bibb County Schools have been added to the list of schools making Adequate Yearly Progress.

They are Riley, Barden, Brookdale, Bruce and Williams Elementary, Howard and Bloomfield Middle, Price Education Center and Howard High School.

Superintendent Dr. Romain Dallemand has pushed to revamp education in Bibb County since the last progress report was released in July, in which only 15 schools made the cut.

He says with only about 60% of Bibb County schools making AYP, there is still a lot of work to be done to accomplish what he calls ‘the Macon Miracle.’

Howard High School was the only high school in the system to make AYP
