Macon P.D. Responds to Two Early Morning Robberies

Two incidents during the early morning hours on Thursday, leave Macon Police looking for multiple suspects.

The first was a commercial burglary at the Academy Sports Store on Eisnehower Parkway.

According to police, three men broke in the store through a glass door on the side of the building around 1:30a.m. The men took three guns from the gun rack, including a shot gun and two semi-automatic rifles.

The suspects were gone by the time officers arrived on scene.

The second incident was an armed robbery in the Bloomfield neighborhood between 2:30 and 3:00a.m.

Police say a man was approached by three males as he was walking home from work, when they asked the man for a lighter.

As the victim was pulling out his lighter, one of the suspects hit him in the head.

The three suspects took the man’s wallet.
