Tag Survey Prompts Macon Man to Conduct Survey in Bibb County

Supporters of the Bibb County SPLOST are saying a survey done by a Mercer University professor proves that more than half of the money accrued from the penny tax will come from non-residents.

According to a recent study conducted by Dr. Chris Grant, out of county and out state tags are common findings in the parking lot of Bass Pro Shop.

“We looked for commercial hubs, places that were likely to attract people with disposable income, in places where they would spend significant amounts of money,” says Dr. Grant.
