MACON, GEORGIA (41NBC/WMGT)- Several waves of precipitation are expected over Middle Georgia beginning Tuesday morning

into Wednesday. This is due to multiple air mass interactions that have set up over the area. The first part of the set up is a surface

air mass that has pushed a weak low through the area overnight. We also have colder air nudging its way into Northeast Georgia as

a surface high continues to glide in place across the northeast.

Finally to the west, moisture is being lifted over the area bringing cloud cover and very isolated showers to portions of West Georgia

that should overspread the viewing area tonight. These will all be key factors in the upcoming rain event over late Tuesday into Wednesday.

Today we will have cloudy skies with a chance of showers with a high of 63 degrees.

Tonight mostly cloudy with late evening showers, low 53.

Wednesday early morning showers, with breezy winds. High 75.
