Waylon Allen Signs With Mars Hill University Today At Ace

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Waylon Allen, a senior at the Academy for Classical Education (ACE) in Macon, has officially signed with Mars Hill University in North Carolina to continue his football career.

Allen’s journey to this moment has been unique—his family moved to Macon from Hawaii, but despite the transition, he quickly became a key player for the ACE football team.

“I’m just honored to be able to play there and have the opportunity to play at the next level and give Mars Hill my all,” Allen said.

Head coach Keith Hatcher praised Allen’s dedication, noting that his impact on the field was immediate.

“It’s special to see guys rewarded for their hard work. To play at the next level, it takes tremendous production on the field but also great character and success in the classroom,” Hatcher said.

Allen’s senior season was nothing short of remarkable—he recorded 17.5 sacks, leading the entire state of Georgia across all classifications. Hatcher called this achievement “amazing,” especially considering Allen was only in Georgia for one season.
