Macon-Bibb EMA offers free 2025 preparedness calendars
This week marks Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Georgia.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – This week marks Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Georgia.
Macon-Bibb Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is reminding the community about picking up their free 2025 community preparedness calendars. The calendars are a great resource to help everyone stay safe and informed by providing a checklist for staying prepared throughout the year.
This year, the agency has printed more than 2,000 copies.
“The biggest benefit is just having everything that you need at your fingertips,” Sophie Rosen, the Special Projects Officer at Macon-Bibb EMA, said. “A lot of this is important, but people don’t realize to think about it. We even have hazardous materials in there. This is something you don’t typically see in Macon, but it can happen.”
The calendars were decorated by Bibb County School District students. Community members can pick up their free preparedness calendar at various locations, including the Bibb County School District, the public courthouse, recreation facilities and the Elaine H. Lucas Senior Center:
