Congressman Austin Scott was in Middle Georgia today to take part in Veterans’ Day festivities. It was a day of celebration and remembrance. Congressman Austin Scott, Warner Robins Mayor Chuck Shaheen, and several veterans gathered at city hall for a day of reflection. For these veterans, they remember the sacrifices they made for their families, but most importantly the difference they made in serving our country.

“We should never forget this day because there were so many people who served that didn’t come back “, said veteran Moses Bull.

” I was glad I made it home. I didn’t think I was going to make it sometimes but I did. I made it home through prayers, my parents, and my church “, said veteran John Phillips.

After the ceremony, veterans took part in the American Legion Veterans day lunch.
