8th Grader Charged with Making School Bomb Threats

A 15-year-old Weaver Middle School student is arrested for making three bomb threats to his school today.

The school was evacuated for about 45 minutes, after the 8th grader’s calls.

Bibb County deputies, firefighters, and district police responded to the first two threats around 11 am.

Students went back to class at 11:45, but another bomb threat came in at 1:15, and students weren’t evacuated for that one.

According to Sergeant Sean SeFoe with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the student made the calls to Bibb County’s 911 center from his cell phone, and then the calls were traced back to him.

He was arrested and taken to the juvenile detention center, charged with making terroristic threats.
