Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia celebrates new Bobby Cramer Drive and Thrift Store reopening
They will be accepting all donations: new or gently used items from household goods, clothing, furniture and other items.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia is celebrating the grand reopening of its Barn Center Thrift Store, now accessible via the newly named Bobby Cramer Drive off Zebulon Road, with a weekend of discounts and donations.
The sale, happening Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., will feature store-wide savings from 25-50% off. They will be accepting all donations: new or gently used items from household goods, clothing, furniture and other items.
A food truck will also be on-site.
Development Director Amy Walker says her mission with the store’s re-opening is to provide a safe place for men, women and children.
“We offer hope, redemption, empowerment, family restoration- all through the hope of Jesus Christ, and 100% of the profits go back to Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia. So, all the contributions from your sales and purchases stay right here in middle Georgia.”
The Rescue Mission is thrilled to expand its exposure to its faith- based life program. CEO Pat Chastain says the Rescue Mission wants to be a place that gives the community an option for hope.
“A lot of times it’s drugs, alcohol, homelessness, domestic violence, just life recovery in general,” he said. “It’s long-term, and it’s a safe place you can come and fulfill your season of recovery.”“
Chastain says he just wants those in need to know the Rescue Mission is a safe place for people who have lost their way.
“Between the thrift store and them knowing that there is a safe place you can come to get the help that you need, I think that is the largest part of this difference,” he said.
