Macon Bacon raises nearly $600K for Georgia nonprofits
Managing Partner for the Macon Bacon, Brandon Raphael, says the majority of that total was raised and donated through Macon Bacon's corporate partners, largely focused on scholarships for women, healthcare, and fighting hunger in the community.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Bacon set a new record by raising $597,780 in funds and donated products for nonprofit organizations across Middle Georgia in 2024, according to a news release.
Managing Partner for the Macon Bacon, Brandon Raphael, says the majority of that total was raised and donated through Macon Bacon’s corporate partners, largely focused on scholarships for women, healthcare, and fighting hunger in the community.
“All of our partners have an opportunity to choose a community engagement initiative, and most of them did,” Raphael said. “And really the best part about it is it makes a difference. We can make an impact here at the Macon Bacon. We appreciate that our fans come to the games, but when we are able to make an impact on the community where we live and where we work, that’s when you know you’ve really hit a home run.”
Raphael says the Macon Bacon is encouraging several partners to come up with community initiatives in 2025, like Macon Area Habitat for Humanity.
“Utilizing the power of sport and the medium we have here at the ballpark, it’s pretty amazing to see what we can do here when we all come together to work towards a common goal,” Raphael said.
