Mayor Shaheen Knew of FBI Investigation Against John Williams

Warner Robins City Councilman John Williams is refusing to talk as he faces multiple federal charges.

It’s been a busy week for Mayor Chuck Shaheen. It all started when he got a phone call Tuesday morning from Councilman John Williams’s wife.

“Mrs. Williams was on the speaker phone, kind of hysterical, crying, and very upset, and she said they’ve taken John,” Shaheen recounts.

Williams was arrested by the feds for extortion. He is charged with taking the money from the sale of a truck to the Warner Robins Police Dept.

Mayor Shaheen says he knew there was investigation brewing.
