‘Macon Roots’ Brings Local Chefs to Mulberry Street Market

The fall season is underway, but colder weather doesn’t have to put an end to eating local produce. In anticipation of National Food Day, on Monday, October 24th, Macon Roots brought local chefs to the Mulberry Street Market to show off some healthy seasonal dishes.

Local chef, Reid Harrison, prepared a fall salad that heats up the taste buds.

“It’s got a little kick,” says Mercer student, Mitchell Wade.

Harrison got his inspiration for this recipe right from the farm.

“Most of it is seasonal, just being inspired by the variety of the season.”
