MTA announces bus service changes ahead of winter weather

MTA to modify bus routes due to the uncertainty of the Middle Georgia weather overnight.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb County Transit Authority (MTA) is modifying bus routes due to the uncertainty of the Middle Georgia weather overnight.

MTA will begin bus services Friday morning at 10 a.m. and continue to monitor the roads and conditions.

In response to the uncertainty of the Middle Georgia weather overnight, the MTA has announced the following changes to its bus services:

  • Block 1 buses arrives at the Transfer Station at 9:50 am, like normal
  • Houston Avenue (no block) arrives at Transfer Station at 10:15 am, like normal
  • Block 1 Eisenhower/Walmart arrives at Transfer Station at 10:30 am, like normal
  • Block 2 buses arrive at the Transfer Station at 10:30 am, like normal, to include: Log Cabin, North Napier, North Bibb and Shurling/Walmart
  • Block 2 Eisenhower/Walmart arrives at the Transfer Station at 11:00 am, like normal
