Robins AFB Honors 60-Year Employee
ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. – A worker at Robins Air Force
Base has been honored for his 60 years on the job.
Friends,
family, co-workers and base officials gathered on Thursday at the
Museum of Aviation to recognize the service of Sammy Dame, who
started at the base in 1951 as a file clerk.
He is now a functional systems administrator in the 406th Supply
Chain Management Squadron.
The Air Force Directorate of Personnel lists only two active
employees with longer service, one of whom started a day earlier
than Dame, who says he enjoys what he’s doing and has not decided
when he will retire.
Dame’s wife, Annie has worked at Robins for 48 years.
