KMBB hosting yearly Christmas Tree Recycling event

Bring your unbound, free of decorations live Christmas tree to Carolyn Crayton Park Saturday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Looking for hassle free way of getting rid of live Christmas tree?

Keep Macon Bibb Beautiful Board Member Janice Habersham visited 41NBC Studios on Thursday to discuss their yearly recycling event called, “Bring One for the Chipper,” a live Christmas Tree Recycling event.

Habersham said, all you’ll have to do is bring your unbound, free of decorations live Christmas tree to Carolyn Crayton Park on Saturday and workers will recycle it for you by turning it into mulch which they’ll give back to you to use in your lawn care routine, or they can take it off your hands and use it for fish habitats.

This service is free.

It’s happening this Saturday, at the Luther Williams Field in Carolyn Crayton Park between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
