Teen arrested after crashing stolen car into Macon business

The incident happened at 11:15 p.m. on December 28. Troopers found a stolen vehicle on Hillcrest Avenue near Courtland Avenue. 

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A teenager has been arrested after crashing a stolen vehicle into a Macon business on Saturday, according to Georgia State Patrol (GSP).

The incident happened at 11:15 p.m. on December 28. Troopers found a stolen vehicle on Hillcrest Avenue near Courtland Avenue.

The trooper activated their lights and sirens to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver failed to stop and a pursuit began.

The pursuit continued onto Courtland Avenue before the driver crossed over Montpelier Avenue and crashed into Bobbitt’s Tire Company.

The driver was placed under arrest and was later identified to be a runaway juvenile.
