Cochran-Bleckley Chamber of Commerce promoting local business through holiday activities

BLECKLEY COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Cochran-Bleckley Chamber of Commerce is hosting events during the holiday season to help boost the local economy.

President/CEO at the Cochran-Bleckley County Chamber of Commerce, Melissa Barker, says the chamber is hoping to support local business and offer family-friendly events for the community during the holiday season.

Chandler the Chamber Elf:

Chandler the Chamber Elf will be at local businesses during the holiday season. Participants can go to the location, take a selfie with the elf, tag the business and tag the chamber in the picture. Participants will be entered into a drawing.

December 6: Snow’s Asian Grill

December 10: City of Cohran
December 11: Cochran Fire Department
December 12: Georgia Farm Bureau
December 13: Royal Nutrition
December 14: Treasures on Second
December 16: Bleckley Fire/ EMA
December 17: Blossoms and Blooms
December 18: M&C Dental
December 19: State Bank of Cochran
December 20: La Cabana

Toy Drive Bingo:

Toy Drive Bingo begins at 6 p.m. on December 16 at 165 Peacock Street. Barker says attendees need to bring an unwrapped toy to play the last two games.

10 games for $20

Meals will not be served at the event, but attendees can bring their own. There will be snacks and drinks available to purchase for $1 each. There will be free hot cocoa for attendees.

There will be $1,215 in cash prizes. Duplicate game winners will split the prize.

Dueling Pianos:

Dueling Pianos will include dinner, a performance, and a cash bar. The event will be at 6 p.m. on January 25 at Jaycee Barn, which is located at 290 Ash Street in Cochran. Tickets are $50 each, and there are tables of 6 or 8 available.
