GHSA Flag Football: Dodge County & Westside Advance to Quarterfinals to Face Off

Dodge County Defeats Metter 26 8 In The First Round Of The Ghsa Flag Football Playoffs

MIDDLE GEORGIA – (41NBC/WMGT) – The GHSA Flag Football Playoffs began Wednesday and there were plenty of Middle Georgia team in action.

In Division One, Memorial Stadium in Eastman was the site as Dodge County won their First Round game over Metter 26-8. Lady Indians advance to the Quarterfinals with a 21-0 win over Maynard Jackson in the Second Round.

At Ed Defore Sports Complex in Macon, Westside won their First Round game against Shaw 13-6. Lady Seminoles advance to the Quarterfinals with a 6-0 win over St. Vincents, where they will face Dodge County in Eastman Monday at Memorial Stadium.

Peach County advances to the Elite Eight with a win over Druid Hills in the First Round 13-6, and a win over South Paulding 6-0 in the Second Round. The Lady Trojans will face Pope Monday, December 9 at Trojan Stadium.

Washington County won their First Round game 19-13 over Fitzgerald. They also won their Second Round game against Therrell 14-0. Washington County will face Columbus on the road in the Elite Eight.

Warner Robins won their First Round matchup over Tucker 19-0. However, the Lady Demons lost in the Second Round 52-0 to Lithia Springs.

Veterans fell short in the First Round to Southwest DeKalb 13-12.

Houston County fell short in the First Round to St. Pius X 19-0.

Central lost to Harris County in the First Round 19-6 to end their season.

Wheeler County lost in the First Round to Southeast Bulloch 27-6.

Mary Persons lost to Columbus 26-0 in the First Round to end their season.

Trinity Christian won the First Round game over Allatoona 13-7. However, TC would lose the Second Round game against Locust Grove 12-6.
