New Planet Fitness location opens in Macon

Planet Fitness opened a brand new Planet Fitness facility in Macon on Monday.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Planet Fitness opened a brand new Planet Fitness facility in Macon on Monday.

The new facility is located at 3172 Eisenhower Parkway West, across town from the company’s other location on Tom Hill Sr. Blvd.

Club manager Devin Carr tells 41NBC members get access to all sorts of workout training equipment: everything from cardio machines to functional training equipment to free weights.

Carr says for those wanting a spa-like experience, Planet Fitness offers its members what they call a Black Card Membership.

With this membership, guests have access to several perks, including tanning beds, digital workout classes and massage chairs.

“We are a judgment free zone,” Carr said. “We want all of our members to feel warm when they come inside the facility. That way when you do come inside the facility, you can comfortably achieve you workout goals you set for yourself.”

Memberships start as low as $15 a month. Members can cancel memberships at anytime.
