Pursley Street Residents Say Crime is Common in Their Community

Jackie Fort saw the apartment on Pursley Street as an easy target.

“He saw the opportunity to steal something,” says resident Freddie Hollingsworth.

Late Thursday night, Fort’s plan backfired.

“The dude let loose on him, and we heard about six or seven shots… Boom, boom, boom, boom,” says Hollingsworth.

According to the Macon Police, they were fired by homeowner Cedric Williams.

“Two wrongs don’t make a right, but you gotta have some way to defend yourself,” says resident, Michael Norwood.
