UPDATE: Man arrested, charged after home invasion in Warner Robins

Erwin is charged with home invasion, burglary 1st degree, and possession of firearm during the commission of the crime.

(UPDATE 11/1/2024 at 12:50 a.m.) Warner Robins Police have arrested 28-year-old Michael Erwin for breaking into an apartment with a firearm.

According to a press release from WRPD, Erwin went back into his apartment in the same complex where he resides before law enforcement arrived.

The Criminal Investigations Division’s Det. Pierce responded to investigate. Attempts were made to contact Erwin, but were unsuccessful. Members of the Warner Robins
P.D. SWAT team along with members of the Houston County Sheriff Deportment’s Warrant Unit assisted with the incident.

Erwin is charged with home invasion, burglary 1st degree, and possession of firearm during the commission of the crime.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Warner Robins Police Department are asking people to avoid Lakeview Road while they attempt to make contact with a suspect, according to a press release.

Officers responded to 6080 Lakeview Road at 7:20 a.m. in reference to someone attempting to break into apartments with a firearm.

Officers set a perimeter around the suspect’s apartment in an attempt to make contact. No one was hurt and no shots were fired when the original incident occurred.

This is an active and on-going incident where officers are attempting to make contact with the suspect at the apartment.
