Houston County deputies investigate after cyclist hits car

According to the sheriff's office, the collision happened at the intersection of Cohen Walker Drive and Lake Joy Road.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Houston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man riding a bike crashed into a car.

According to the sheriff’s office, the collision happened at the intersection of Cohen Walker Drive and Lake Joy Road around 8:42 a.m. on Thursday.

The cyclist was making a left turn from Cohen Walker Drive onto Lake Joy Road. Investigators say the cyclist failed to yield and hit a 2020 Jeep Wrangler.

Houston County EMS took the cyclist to Atrium Health Navicent, The Medical Center.
