Mary Persons wins 2024 FFA Championship
The Mary Persons Future Farmers of America announced they have won two honors in the 2024 National Forestry Championship.
FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Mary Persons Future Farmers of America (FFA) announced they have won two honors in the 2024 National Forestry Championship.
According to the Monroe County School District, the FFA team took first place. The team participated in several challenges, testing skills like tree identification, map interpretation, forest business and management, and timber stand improvement.
One student, Ethan Bertram, set himself apart this year. He ranked number one in the nation as an individual.
The Mary Persons team earned the highest Team Activity Score and all members secured the National FFA Gold Rating.
The team includes:

- Eason Farmer (MP Class 2024)
