Houston County Stages Multi-Agency Training Scenario

Today, the Houston County Sheriff’s Office handled a massive emergency, but it was all to make sure law enforcement and emergency agencies are always on their guard.

The Houston County Fire Department, Houston Medical Center EMS, GSP Aviation Division, Houston County 911 Center, and the GBI were all part of the annual training day.

“We all know we don’t live in a perfect world, and when things go bad. We all want to be ready in Houston County,” says Sergeant James Middlebrooks, Houston County Sheriff’s Office.

A domestic dispute violence call was received by the 911 center. Immediately following the call, the agencies responded.

“When we do training sessions like this, then that’s helping us find our weaknesses,” says Sergeant Middlebrooks.

Middlebrooks says, these training scenarios help agencies open the lines of communication between each other, and work out any weaknesses.
