Loaves and Fishes celebrates 57 years of serving Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Loaves & Fishes, a non-profit in Middle Georgia, is celebrating 57 years of serving the community.
President, Chloe Napier, says Loaves & Fishes aims to serve and improve the quality of life for the poor and homeless in Middle Georgia.
Napier says the non-profit is celebrating this month with a variety of events to give back to the community.
- October 15: The Annual Breast Cancer Walk in memory of long-time Board Member, Mrs. Edwina Beall, followed by a lunch. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m.
- October 17: The Donor Appreciation cookout to express gratitude to those who have supported the ministry and helped serve the community. The event will begin at 2 p.m.
- October 19: There will be a client-friend BBQ luncheon. The event will begin at 2 p.m.
Executive Director, Janet Wright, says they offer a variety of services to help people in need. Those services include:
- IDs and birth certificates
- Prescription assistance program
- Food assistance program
- Meals
- Bible study
- Laundry services
All of these services are free for clients.
