Food Truck Festival to showcase local cuisine

The event will be on October 12 at Carolyn Crayton Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb County Recreation Department is hosting a Food Truck Festival.

The event will be on October 12 at Carolyn Crayton Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Senior Administrative Assistant for the Macon-Bibb County Recreation Department, Kalyn Collins, says there will be food, music, family fun and a kids zone.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their blankets and lawn chairs.

There will be 11 vendors in attendance and a company that offers wine slushies.

CEO at Soul2SoulFood LLC, Lasonya Ross, says her family-owned food truck will have three new egg roll options. They will have salmon, buffalo, or spinach and chicken eggrolls.

The event is free and there will be food from food trucks to purchase.
