Man arrested after fatal hit and run in Bibb County in September

Tony Feagin faces charges of homicide by vehicle in the first degree, hit and run: duty of driver to stop at or return to scene of an accident, and failure to maintain lane.

UPDATE (11/11/2024): Tony Bernard Feagin was arrested on Monday before 8 a.m. for the death of Hatima Ayana Wilkins.

The fatal hit and run happened on Hawkinsville Road on September 29 at 2:28 p.m.

Feagin was booked into the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center after turning himself in.

Feagin was wanted in Bibb County in connection with the death of Wilkins.

Feagin faces charges of homicide by vehicle in the first degree, hit and run: duty of driver to stop at or return to scene of an accident, and failure to maintain lane.

Feagin is currently being held without bond.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman is dead after being hit by a vehicle on Sunday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The fatal incident was called into the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center on September 29 at 2:28 p.m.

Deputies responded to Hawkinsville Road, south of Feagin Road, in reference to a report of a person unresponsive off the roadway.

Deputies found 25-year-old Hatima Ayana Wilkins had been struck by an unknown vehicle.

Coroner Leon Jones pronounced Wilkins deceased on scene.
