Laurens County, Ga. Fire Victim Identified

DUBLIN, Ga. – Laurens County authorities say the victim in a fatal mobile home fire has been identified as 43-year-old Roy Brown.

Deputy coroner Nathan Stanley says the cause of Brown’s death in the fire on Sunday was smoke and soot inhalation.

The Telegraph reports  that Don Bryant, Laurens County Emergency Management Agency director, says because of extensive damage to the structure, firefighters may not be able to determine a definitive cause of the fire. But he says the fire appears to have been accidental.

Firefighters from the Laurens County Rural Fire Department and the Dublin Fire Department responded to the 2:15 a.m. fire.
