One Year Later Dublin Church Arson Still Unsolved
One year after a fire, the members of Central Baptist Church still can’t say for certain who’s responsible. Pastor Ellis Carswell says this tragedy did not shake the congregation.
“We only lost the building we did not lose the church,” says Carswell.
When the building went up flames, there was no insurance money to cover the cost. Carswell and his congregation have to foot the bill.
“We need the help of churches, pastors, communities, to help us rise from the ashes.”
They began a mission. Every week they send out letters asking for help. They’ve raised nearly $5,000 every month from donations, not enough to rebuild, but enough not to lose faith.
