Bonaire Man Dies in Dirt Bike Accident

According to the Houston County Coroner’s Office, 47-year-old Peter Nico, of Bonaire, died from brain injuries after wrecking his dirt bike around 6 p.m. on Saturday. 

The wreck happened in a wooded area of off Dillons Trail in Bonaire.

Nico’s wife and neighbors went looking for him after he didn’t return home from riding Saturday afternoon.

Houston County Officials say Nico lost control of the 650 dirt bike, went over an embankment and the bike flipped over on top of him.

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office ruled the wreck an accident.
