Family Pleads for Answers 2 Years After Unsolved Murder

26 year-old Eric Rice was found dead yards away from Byron Elementary School in September 2009.

It was the first murder in Byron in 17 years, and it’s a case far from going cold. According to Chief Wesley Cannon, hundreds have been interviewed and boxes are full of evidence.

He says he believes it’s just a matter of time before this case is finally solved.  ” Sometimes time will help an investigation,” says Cannon.
