United Way of Central Georgia Campaign

Hundreds of middle Georgia volunteers kicked off the annual United Way Campaign Tuesday evening.

The organization is continuing it’s efforts to raise money for the 34 local health and human service agencies it supports.

2011 Campaign Chairman Sam Macfie announced this year’s goals and ways to help communities in middle Georgia.

“We feel like we need to stretch ourselves this year because so many people are in need…4.2 million dollars is our goal,” says Macfie.

The event was held at Cox Capitol Theatre.
