Authorities Continue to Search for Missing Murderer

The Georgia Department of Corrections is still searching for 53 year old Phil Mincey, who failed to return to the Macon Transitional Center after his day of work ended on Friday, September 2nd. 

The Department of Corrections and the Southeast Fugitive Task Force are working together to find Mincey in what has become a nationwide search.

Mincey is serving a life sentence from a 1985 murder conviction.

Authorities say they do not believe he is armed and dangerous.
