HS Football Coach Resigns Amid Safety Concerns

Central High School football coach Anthony Hines resigned today after being placed on administrative leave because of what the Bibb County School district calls a “serious concern” regarding student athlete safety.

The district launched an investigation immediately after learning of the situation. They would not specify the exact reasons for the investigation, saying “Due to the serious nature of the investigation, the District wants to ensure it is thorough and complete so we can ensure we are looking out for and protecting the safety of our student athletes.”

They also say they’ve been in contact with  Georgia High School Association and the Professional Standards Commission.
