Temple Beth Israel holds menorah lighting event for Hanukkah

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temple Beth Israel in Macon held its menorah lighting event for Hanukkah over the weekend.

The Jewish festival started Thursday. The temple’s menorah lighting took place Saturday evening, and it was open to the public.

Masks and social distance were required.

The menorah is displayed near the temple located at 892 Cherry Street in downtown Macon.
