Fourth suspect arrested in connection to shooting of teen girl on Sherry Drive
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A fourth suspect in connection to the shooting of a 13-year-old girl is behind bars, and Bibb County deputies are still searching for a fifth suspect.
Deputies say 17-year-old Antonio Jackson turned himself in on Saturday. He is charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit a Felony-Murder and Aggravated Assault. These charges stem from the September 24th shooting on Sherry Drive where a 13-year-old girl was shot in the back after a fight with another teen.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the 13-year old victim has been released from the hospital and is still receiving treatment for her injuries.
Investigators have already charged three others in this case. They include 18-year-old Rodricko Balkcom Jr., of Macon, 18-year-old Jaquez Brown, and a 14-year-old juvenile. All three were taken into custody on two counts of Aggravated Assault.
Deputies are still searching for 18-year-old Ricky T Brown III in connection to this incident. He’s wanted on two counts of Aggravated Assault.
