Houston Elementary Kids Stand-Up Against Bullying
Wednesday Houston County students took a stand against bullies. Kids at Russell Elementary cheered as they took part in an anti-bullying rally. The celebration comes after students spent two weeks learning about the negative effects of bullying, both at school and at home.
“Our students have worked hard and this is going to be a great year and our school is gong to be full of buddies and not bullies,” said Jo Hall, Assistant Principal for Instruction at Russell Elementary.
Hall says the students have participated in skits, reading exercise and more in an effort to get the message across, that bullying is wrong.
