One dead, others injured in Warner Robins car accident

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Warner Robins Police Department is investigating a fatal accident from Tuesday night.

Authorities identified the deceased driver as 39-year-old Yulanda Nelson of Warner Robins. Paramedics took that Nelson to Medical Center Navicent Health where she died.

Accident details

Officers say Nelson was driving her Nissan Altima on Elberta Road near Ola Drive when she crossed the centerline and struck a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 59-year-old Mildred Smith of Centerville.

Passengers in both vehicles also sustained injuries. The accident investigation is continuing by the Warner Robins PD Traffic Division.

No charges have been filed. Officers say Nelson was not wearing a seatbelt.

The accident is still under investigation.
