The upcoming council is for high school students between the ages of 16-18.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The City of Perry is accepting applications for the 2024-2025 Youth Advisory Council. The upcoming council is for high school students between the ages of 16-18.

City of Perry Communications Director, Tabitha Clark, says this is an opportunity for students to learn more about their local government and City of Perry operations.

Clark says applicants must be a current resident of Perry and enrolled in a Perry area high school – including homeschoolers.

Clark says applicants should be interested in local government and how it functions, commit to serving one full term, be in good academic standing, and free of any serious disciplinary actions at their respective school.

The deadline to apply is September 3.
