HIGHLIGHTS: Veterans defeats Howard 28-13 in home scrimmage

The Veterans Warhakws defeated the Howard Huskies in a home scrimmage matchup 28-13

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – The Veterans Warhawks hosted the Howard Huskies in a home scrimmage game Friday night. The Warhawks came out with the first score early from Tylan Glover on the five yard rushing touchdown to take a 7-0 lead.

In the second quarter, Howard would respond when quarterback Deon Wellons would fake the hand off on the Run Pass Option play, then take it all the way for the touchdown. 50 yard rushing score for the Huskies puts them down 7-6 going into the half. Veterans would go onto win 28-13.

Opening kickoff for Veterans is next Friday at Jones County, while Howard will take on Westside on Saturday at 3 p.m as part of the First Annual Gridiron Classic at FVSU.
