Recycling Center in Perry Turns Trash into Cash

City Supply gives residents a free place to drop-off their used plastics and cardboard and then sells the recycled material to local businesses at a discounted rate.

The business started a few months ago after the City of Perry stopped its recycling cardboard program.

Spokesperson for City Supply, Charles Helm, says there was a public demand for the service. “Everybody that’s found out that we’re recycling cardboard and plastics they’re really happy to know that we are recycling it. It gives them a point to bring it to and they know it’s getting properly used and recycled properly.”
